When Katy explained The Wide Awake music video she said, that when she was in San Pablo, Brazil (when the divorce scene happens in the move) she had to be taken to the stage because she couldn’t walk and she had her face down. and she had to look into her inner kid and fight off the demons that had her so down in that moment. and her inner girl stomped out the demons so she could start the concert and make her fans smile. that’s the meaning behind this scene in the Wide Awake Music Video.
